Bamboo reaches harvest maturity in just three years, and unlike trees, bamboo does not need to be replanted after it is harvested as the bamboo will continue to grow.
Large, traditional toilet paper companies source their softest toilet paper from old-growth forests. These forests are essential for preserving ancient eco-systems and storing enormous amounts of carbon. Switching to bamboo keeps these forests in-tact!

- Hi Liz! Save Trees is septic-friendly and degrades just as quickly as leading TP brands. Every septic system is a little different, though. We encourage you to use what you think is best for your system (and hopefully best for the planet, too!).
- Where is your product made? Are the toilet paper rolls white or tan? If white what do you use to make them white?
- Hi Becki! Thanks for your questions! Our bamboo is grown in local farms in Asia (where most bamboo is grown!) which are FSC certified, and we have sustainability-focused manufacturing partners who create the paper itself in China. Our paper is white – we bleach our paper with an Elementally Chlorine-Free method. This method uses a compound called chlorine dioxide to achieve bleaching instead of the toxin chlorine. This process uses less energy to create the final paper product and is a sustainable choice for pulp and paper manufacturing globally.
